This is my first time ever taking a PAR reading. Borrowed one from the local reef club.
This ReefLED G2 60 came with my Red Sea Max Nano G2 Peninsula Tank. My first tank.
I tested the light @ 100% intensity.
At both 20K and 23K color, the numbers were basically the same.
The very highest rock in my tank is ~4.5" below water level. Light mounted exactly according to instructions and sits about 7" from water level.
Here is what Red Sea has on their website for this LED.
Seems like the light pretty much does what it says except for the high range up high/middle seems just a tad low.
I tried not to be too fussy with my hardscape, but really wanted a big flat area up high to eventually try a couple Monitpora Digitatas. Was hard to get the height with the rocks I bought.
I also foolishly thought it would be cool to get lepto and encrusting montiporas growing on the pillar.
With a plating coral growing out of the center somewhere.
Probably not enough light for that though.
Will probably buy some arches and add them to the pillar. Wanted to avoid spending more money.
Sharing for others to see, but if you have any recommendations to improve rockscape or my coral placement ideas, let me know.
