Lol, oh I understand completely.. More than you know.. I couldn't stand it in on my fuge walls in a few places. Then, it showed a spot in my stock tub, and I said "that's it"! Lol, it wasn't even in my display.. So I feel your pain..

Its very frustrating

For me, the mb7 didn't do too much on it.. The mb7 always worked great for small diatom outbreaks I used to get at the beginning.. And I love mb7, because like zeobak, it makes the water even more sparkly, and improves skim concentrate.. You just have to use more than the zeobak.. I love some of the zeo products and have used them for years.. Also..

Would you say they are better than mb7?

Zeobak? Or zeo products in general? In my experience in my systems, yes, without a doubt zeobak is better.. But each has their place and effect..

And another that I really like is Dr tims eco balance.. But that is for general usage..

It is, but once you get down something that works on your system, it becomes a "ok, let me take care of this right quick" type of thing..

I'm gonna finish the mb7 dosing and see where it takes me and then if it doesn't work I'll switch. I'm. Gonna try the kz cyano clean when it comes in the mail though. Thank you for your help

I just dosed my tank with chemiclean few days ago. I used the liquid one. Dosed as per instructions. Left skimmer cup off. Skimmer went nuts. Added an airstone too. Next day honestly i felt all my zoas and shrooms looked better. No ill effect on my snails or crabs. All zoas healthy and open. Bounces and jawbreakers all good. Euphyllia and some SPS perfectly fine. Fish are acting the same.
48hrs later any cyano i had is gone. 20% water change and water is crystal clear. Carbon and gfo back online. Skimmer back to normal today.

I agree. Chemicals scare the hell outta me. I switched to 13 hours light on in the fuge opposite of the. Display tank. I'm doing the 3 days no light though. Hope it helps. Also I have blue legged hermits and Scarlett's. I've been scared to try normal red legged hermits. A friend told me they are aggressive. Will they harm corals if I get some?

Stay with the smaller hermits, larger ones can become a bit more territorial and may go after other inverts if not well nourished. I've seen red legs go after cyano more often than blues/ Scarlets

So you don't know how safe the kz stuff is?
I also have it in my fuge and also leave my light on 24/7 did you and up doing only 12 hours a day in the fuge then?

I thought the kz stuff was overly expensive and didn't work. I had a bad cyano outbreak a long time ago...purple, red, green...the tank looked terrible. I used chemiclean after reading so many success stories and never saw it again. This stuff acted fast too! Best product ever for cyano!

The change was so intense that my wife noticed it when she went to the basement for fresh towels while getting ready for work. She even woke me up to ask me if I spent all night cleaning it and she NEVER notices anything with the tank. I could stuff a great white shark in that thing and she wouldn't notice.

I'm glad to hear your success. I just heard the kz stuff takes awhile to work. I've read that chemiclean almost works immediately. Did you ever try the three day off method?

Three day lights off** also I think kz cyano clean only kills the red slime? I can be wrong.

Chemiclean killed all my cyano, not a trace was left after I dosed and I never saw it again. Never tried lights out and I gave the kz stuff an entire month without success. I even did the recommended treo dose with kzcyano, zeozim and coral snow.

I'm not very convinced the kz line of products work as good as their price tag suggests. I don't often use the term snake oil but am beginning to lean towards it in regards to kz products in my opinion. Even when full zeo I ever saw great results from their numerous products.

Just wanted to give you guys an update from the 72 hours no light. All red cyano is gone. No chemicals, no nothing. Just no light and it worked.

Corals are all out like nothing happened. Australian elegance is not fully open. It's done this in the past. It will be fine In a day
