Redsea nitrites test kit

Hey guys I’m currently cycling my new tank just done the nitrites test and the test is coming orange that’s not even an option on the card. Was wondering if anyone could help me out thank you.

Nitrate is typically orange in color, did you maybe use the nitrate test reagents?

No mate just followed the instructions use one drop of A and one scoop of c

I guess I don't know, unless one of the reagent bottles wasn't label correctly? What color is your nitrate test?

That’s purple mate like it should be

I really don't know why this is then, maybe someone else will know or you might reach out to RedSea and see if they know?

What I will mention is that nitrite is not toxic to saltwater fish, and many here don't bother to test for it, if that's any consolation.
