This is the tank 3 weeks in. No decisions yet on stocking. Taking it slow so I have some time.

Looks like a nice setup.

I went 100% custom on my last two tanks, thinking of doing something similar to yours for my next species only tank :)

So it looks like you didn't cut the baffles out where the filter socks and media cups would normally go under the ATO for the reef mat? I have a G1 and I was told I would have to cut those out and I would lose my ATO tank in the process. That's the only reason I haven't tried one yet.

Full disclosure....this was installed/setup by the guys at Top Shelf Aquatics. This is a G1. The baffles for the filter socks have been removed. I initially thought that I couldn't use the ATO but found that I could just slide the ReefMat over and the reservoir fit. Just have to do a bit of maneuvering when time comes to empty the protein skimmer.

Yea. I've had my 625 up for a little over a year. I've been hesitant to cut the baffles out because my concern was modifying the sump for the reef mat and with my luck it would probably break at some point and then I would be scrambling to find a way for filtration until a repair or replacement could be obtained.
