Stress coat is a great tool for removing copper from marine aquaria. It binds with copper and other heavy metals making it inert and easily removed by water changes. To that end do not use stress coat in a tank while you are using copper as a treatment for Ick.

agree. but it will make a protein Skimmer go crazy. at least it does mine.

I have actually heard from a friend who is going to school and is a senior in fish vet medicine. He said that stress coat or prime effects the structure of cupramine and makes the copper a radical form which fish are sensitive to and it can kill them. I don't believe it does this with other coppers such as chelated copper.

I think just water changes along with some Carbon works well too.
