What is the rank order of halides in seawater, from highest concentration to lowest? ( > means greater than)


A. Chlorine > Bromine > Iodine > Fluorine

And the answer is...C. Chlorine > Bromine > Fluorine > Iodine

Chlorine is present in 35 ppt seawater at about 19,400 ppm (546 mM), bromine at about 67 ppm (0.84 mM), fluorine at about 1.3 ppm (68 uM) and iodine at about 0.064 ppm (0.2-0.5 uM).
