Has everyone had trouble with setting the skimmate on this type of skimmer. I'll get the skimmer to start making skimmate and then the water will lower maybe a hair and it all goes to crap. The sump that i have is a trigger system pro 30, I'm thinking that if i get something to raise the water lvl just a bit in the second chamber it would help. ??????

The chamber that my protein skimmer is in water lvl changes often and the refug and return water lvl's stay the same alot. Is it a good idea to place the skimmer in the return chamber

Skimmers operate best in a sump chamber where the level remains constant. Check Coralvue site for optimal water level for your specific skimmer.
