I'm planning out a new tank, mixed reef, either 5x2x2 or 6x2x2, not sure yet. I found a used 152s skimmer for a good price locally that I'm tempted to try. I'm planning on having a fairly large fuge and still debating between filter socks & reefmat. I've read a lot saying that undersizing your skimmer has some advantages, so question is would it be worth taking a shot with this one or is just throwing money away?
Follow up to that, there's 2x ai hydra 26s available as well. I know I'd need more, but would that be a good start to maybe 4 of them to cover that? Initially it would be soft & lps, may eventually add sps down the road. Thanks in advance!
