Just got this used off a gentleman for a great deal. He has had it for a year and bought it new, but he said the overflow sensor works sometimes and sometimes doesn't. Now I haven't tested it but I just want to get ahead of the game. If it doesn't work can I just buy a new sensor to put in the overflow cup? Going to include a pic of the part I am talking about and my new mombo jombo skimmer! Still have to clean and get it rdy for my tank but should have it up before Christmas.

I would test it first but you can usually call the manufacturer and get a replacement part.

Parts are available on ebay, manufacturer site and possibly aquaCave.com. If its moody, replace it before failure occurs

Thank you I will test it. I’m sure on first launch it’ll over skim like crazy like every new or deep cleaned skimmer does so I will be able to test it then.

Have had a curve 5 from bubble magus and love it so love to see how this one performs being a different brand and different build with outside pump and all.

Got it cleaned up and to say I’m excited to test and use this skimmer is an understatement. So big!!!!

Also common issue with this skimmer- assure the tube from muffler to the pump is Not clogged. Blow through it and you will know if clogged

I took it completely apart and cleaned it last night. Should I add this in the regular maintence? If so how often would you recommend to clean it.

i blow thru tube every 3 months
