Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has interfaced with the remote for the reef breeders v2+ remote?

I'd sure like a way to build lighting schedules and then directly dump them into the remote or even better, directly to the light.

The current method is cumbersome, it works, but is a pain.

Thanks!!

None that im aware of. Is it a wifi based thing? If you know the protocol /specs it should be relatively easier to build.

I'm not sure what the communication between the remove and light is, fairly sure it's not IR, maybe RF, but don't know.

On the companies website it says wifi connection...however the light or remote is not on my network, so it's just between the devices.

Probably the light runs as its own wifi hotspot. Its common trick across many smart devices, including the kasa outlets. Most things that can connect to wifi can also run their own wifi hotspot which others can connect to. This is good security practice.

I have not been able to find the lights wifi, so maybe it's not accessible that way.

The company said they have an app coming out, so that will help. Just don't know when that will happen or how full featured it will be.

Thanks to all for your comments.
