I am having problems with temp probes. Have replaced probes. Then I get message where temps show 32 degrees and I get this error message. Might work for up to a week or more. Any ideas of what could cause this ?

Are you sure you have wired the replacements up properly? Where did you source them? Some of the cheaper ones from AliExpress/eBay may have their wire colours different.

Sorry it's been years since I did my temp probes, but I used the waterproof heat shrink at the wire/probe interface and they have lasted........ unfortunately a faulty 24v power supply took out my entire system and I need to rebuild, possibly will be a project to start today with soldering a new goby hat!

I suggest doing a Google search of your error code and it might give you the answers you seek, unless you can wait for someone with more up to date knowledge than I comes along to help.....sorry I couldn't solve the problem, but it has literally been about 3 yrs since I did my initial build and my memory doesn't last that long.

Do you have more than one connected to a pin? Do the sensors cross any AC cables? As @geologeek mentioned there's a lot of garbage sensors out there, that's likely the reason. If you have more than one connected to a GPIO you should split them if you have some pins available.

Update..............I replaced both sensors. I bought two on Amazon that had really no negative reviews. They seem to work fine. Longest I have been running without the errors. Maybe the originals went bad or they were just poor quality from the start. Not sure...........but seems to be working.

ds18b20 are very hit or miss in amazon, specially the ones available in multiple units. go for little expensive ones from drok or other suppliers and you'll have better luck
