Reef pi

What exactly is reef pi? From what I read it's seems like a controller. I looked on the website... I don't understand any of it. Could someone explain It to me? And where or how I get it .or how it is built?

Oops , I somehow missed this thread. @Mike1995 its a project that develops the software that you can download and install in Raspberry Pi. You purchase the other electronics and build a controller out of it. Very much like buying wood from home depot and then building a furniture out of it. Let me know if you have any questions.
