It’s an amazing product and my corals love it BUT the amount that gets wasted, trapped in rock work, sand etc etc does cause problems. For example if you have an aiptasia problem don’t use it as you’re just feeding them a 3 course meal. I use it now in very accurate target feeding and make it up into a paste so it doesn’t float around the tank as much. Still I don’t use much and not often as it does cause serious outbreaks if heavy handed.

I broadcast feed 1/5 of the recommended dose a couple times a week. I use Reef Nutrition’s Phyto Feast and Oyster Feast every day with no issues except really fast coral growth, and occasionally give the tank some roids as well. I’ve really cut back on using it tbh. I think it’s a great product, but in moderation and not as the primary food source. Right before a water change I’ll do a big roids feeding, but definitely not all the time.

Over dosing any food can cause issues. Reef roids is a very fine powdered zooplankton and a little goes a long way. Best powdered food IMO and combines nicely with reef nutrition oyster feast. Trying many powdered foods from different vendors, reef roids tops them all.

I use it once a week.
500 ml water, 2 tbs scoops roids, a heatlhy squirt of OysterFeast and another squirt of PhytoFeast, plus a cube of calanus and rotifers in a 600 gallon tank.

What's your nutrient export like?
28g AIO tank with a filter sponge, bag of purigen, bag of phosguard im not sure I need, and bio media. 5g water changes every 10-14 days. Started the tank up in early February this year, have slowly added corals since then from small frags.
