Introduction
Let me start by saying it is an honor to have been selected by Reef2Reef for a reef spotlight. My love for this hobby goes back to age 3 when my grandfather got me a goldfish. The funny thing is that I can’t remember one day in my life that i have not had some kind of fish I was taking care of. I don’t think i will ever upgrade but I am throwing the idea around to redo this tank very soon. I’m out of room and I can’t stop buying corals ...so only time will tell and if the wife gives me the money for an upgrade. All I can say to the new people in this hobby is take your time and it will pay off. My tank took 6 years to get to this point. Once again, I want to thank all you for this great honor.
How long have you been doing this?
I’ve been keeping reef tanks for about 6 years, but I’ve had aquariums for about 30 years.
Who is responsible for getting you into the hobby?
My grandfather bought me a goldfish when I was five and that was the beginning. Since then, I’ve never stopped and I’ve had some kind of fish for the last 30 years.
Who or what in the hobby most influences/inspires you?
I’m inspired when people walk in the house and are speechless after viewing my tank. There are also several tanks here on R2R that have influenced me.
What are your future plans for improvement/upgrade of the tank?
There aren’t any upgrades in the works at the moment, but I plan on removing some zoas and adding a bit more SPS.
Any Final thoughts?
I just want to thank all the people that have helped me along this crazy hobby’s path. Thanks guys! To the people just getting started, take your time and remember that you get what you pay for in this hobby.

Filtration and Water Quality Summary and Objectives
I use a 55 gallon sump with one half as a refugium containing chaeto and other macro algae. The other side is where I keep my Bubble Magus cone skimmer. The return section has the return pump, heater, and media pumps. I dose Brightwell’s CoralAmino daily and perform 30 gallon water changes every week.

Fish and Coral Feeding
I only feed the tank about 3 times per week with a mix of prepared foods and I also dose amino acids for the corals.

Conclusion
There are so many people that I need to thank. Let’s start with my wife and kids for dealing with me and the hobby. There are fish tanks all over the house in every room. I’d also like to thank the people I’ve met, who have been amazing like Favia Freak, long island Mike, lipa mike, buddman, Kris from reefgrower, Chris (ariti), and Bobby. These are just some of the amazing people that made this tank happen and I want to say thanks to all of you for making my tank the best.

Awesome tank. Pictures do it no justice. I have seen this tank in person several times and I end up finding another coral that catches my eye each time.
Keep up the great man!
