Rock and sand into the tank! It looked so nice with the rock in...then the sandstorm! Should look good again in 2-3 days. Then I need to add something to get this cycle started!

Looking very good. I see you got sicce pro pump. How is it? BRS told me it was silent. Im planning on using it in my living room so it'll need to be silent.

The pump is very quite. I think is may be slightly louder in my system due to the Rubbermaid sump. I think if it sat flush on a glass or acrylic surface it would be very quite. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being loudest) I would give it a 3.

Maybe its just the picture but the shrimp look like the "cooked" variety which will not help your cycle start out. Uncooked shrimp are grey/blue in color. Just figured I would ask...

Thanks for checking in. they were raw upon entry. They turned pink after a couple days in the water. I planned on testing parameters again this weekend to see how things are going.

Also was able to get rid of all my old 5 gallon jugs for RODI Water. I purchased a $30 gal container from the local tractor supply. Put together a makeshift stand with some scrap wood in the garage. Not the prettiest thing out there but it is definitely a space saver!

LOOKING GOOD. I can't seem to find those water storage containers anywhere around me. The closest tractor supply is almost 3 hours away ....

Not yet, I figured there was not much for them to clean up yet! My plan is to add some inverts in the next 10-15 days

Came home from a weekend trip to my Coralife 4 bulb t5 fixture on my door step. So like any normal person would do, I left the bags in the car, and immediately set up my light and played with all the settings! I really like the directional LEDs on this thing too, I will really be able to showcase my nicer pieces at night.

As part of my tank build, I am adding a gravity fed ATO system. Rather than the standard float valve, has anyone ever used a Hudson Style Valve? I have seen them in use for water troughs etc. Just curious if they have a strong enough seal for use on a marine aquarium.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
