@reefbreeders So I will start with this don't try it some of the leds do not have a wide enough angle to mount them on top of the water. This mod will render your canopy useless in order to get the light in you have to remove all the mounting lugs for the stock light. The spash guard will have to be cut to remove the black out section. The reef breeders photon V2+ will fit but it's tight. You dont have to put anything behind the light to hold it But it was pretty easy to do. I will post more updates as I continue to modify the canopy.

Let me reiterate the light will move in the canopy so bracing is necessary.

@reefbreeders So here's the update with reef breeders photon V2+ on the biocube 32 I opted to go with the rim mounts on the rods I put the 3 position on the light and the 2 position to the mounts. I cut the lip where the original hood mounts so the mounts would drop below and tighten against the glass thus almost making the mounts flush. I cut 4.5 inches off the back of the canopy so it would cover the updated refugium. Now the fun part whats left of the canopy where the splash guard mounted I cut the entire center out. Made some cuts on the sides to allow for the light mounts. And it done and doesn't block any light and is an excellent guard against jumpers. Didn't cost a dime.

I've made one more adjustment, i moved the mounts back an inch and lowered the light to the lowest setting which puts the light 4" off the water. I've read the FAQ on your page I couldn't find anywhere how much the par changes from the distance of where the light is positioned off the water just how deep the tank is. I'm 4" from water to light and 15" from top of sand to top of water so would I calculate my max settings at 15" or 19"?
