Reefer 170 skimmer recommendations

Hey everyone

I’m looking at purchasing a new skimmer for Red Sea reefer 170
Sump water level is not adjustable and is set to 8 inches

Was trying to decide between the bubble magus curve 3 extreme vs the curve 5

Any recommendations between the 2 or other skimmers

I’ve ran a curve 5 in the past and have no complaints. It was on a 75 gallon system and produced skimmate with very little tweaking.

I system is 43 gallons in total so wasn’t sure if the curve 5 would be too much

No I think it would be perfect actually. It has a really compact footprint too and I know that reefer 170 sump isn’t the biggest.

which one did you choose at the end? Same situation here... I am also evaluating an A5 due to DC pump
