I've lurked here for a while without actually showing my tank and I figure the time has come. I started in the hobby about a year and a half ago with a small 30g bow front. I realized I wanted much bigger and six months later picked up a reefer 350. I've battled and fortunately overcome major issues in the year (dinos, nitrate spikes, algae blooms, etc) but have learned (and spent) a lot through the trial and error process. I've since decked it out with Apex, Trident, automated dosing, UV and a hybrid lighting system that I'm very happy with. I've recently made a hard push into the SPS game.

As far as your transition into sps do you keep that 350 as a mixed reef? And if so how I’m struggling with sps my water is dirty (LPS love it)

I am keeping it mixed. Def struggled with the initial transition. The sweet spot for me seems to be 8.6-9 alk, 5ppm no3, .03 po4

I know LPS+SPS is difficult especially with Nitrates and phosphates! I’ll aim for that range then :)

:p
HP isn’t too far

Nope. There's a guy in Mooresville that I've gotten friendly with who sells top shelf SPS at half market price. Great dude. Shoot me a message if you'd like to be connected with him.
