Well I'll start this adventure with a 55 gallon metal stand that I cut up and re-welded to the dimensions needed for the 60 cube.

Decided that the height wouldn't fit my needs as the sump I'm using will give me minimal amount of space under the tank.as this is the biggest problem with cube tanks this is why I decided to use a metal stand for support..and yes I know it looks like crap and your probably wondering why the hell would anyone do this?trust me when it's all done you won't see the metal stand

So the framing begins

After a lot of welding and grinding I painted it with primer before I used epoxy coated paint

More framing..I used 2x6 on the bottom to give it alittle more height(I hate bending over to look into my tank)

Another reason for the metal stand is cause I wanted 2 doors so I can have access to the sump from either side as this is always a major problem with owning a cube tank(minimum sump room)so with the metal stand and the added support I can accomplish that

After giving it a light sand (cause I didn't want to loose the beat up look of the wood)i took the torch to itto bring out the grain of the wood alittle more then I coated it with a clear satin finish

Now that the stand is done which cost me in total $14 and change if I remember correctly...now onto the tank and the sump/refugium...the tanks background was covered with adhesive vinyl so I always have the option of changing colors,and the sump/refugium (which is a work of art)

Now onto the plumbing...I decided on building a manifold to add to the already tight sump area.i just figure it would be easier to have one pump controlling the flow for all my needs.
(1)feed for refugium are
(2)phosban reactor
(3)chiller...cause I won't run any tank without
I had alittle time on my hands so I made a floating canopy

Awesome plumbing, what size drain and return did You use and is it quiet ? if you don't mind me asking

My drain is 1 1/2 inch in the overflow reduced to 1 inch into the sump/refugium with a maggie muffler.my return is 3/4 inch and for each outlet off the manifold is 1/2 inch all powe red by a jecod DCT-8000.even when I turn the pump up to the max it's dead silent
