Do I need a orp probe I do not dose. I have read on Oxidation-Reduction Potential and just dont understand how this will help with keeping the tank. The salinity I can see.

Nah... ORP is not essential. I don't use it. And DA's Salinity probe is flakey. Save you r money and buy corals :D

I find that ORP is a quick indictater of a problem in your system as is shows a change when something has died and changed the Balance between PH/ORP. It may not be necessary but I find it a great way to see a problem that may have went unnoticed otherwise. JMO

If nothing else, aren't ORP probes kinda cheap anyway? May not hurt to have one as Bill mentioned just for seeing fairly rapid changes.

And definitely stay away from DA's salinity probes. Personally, I stay away from DA all together these days, but I do still like the ReefKeeper Lites. :)
