I found ReefPro on R2R and when I looked at their website found a number of fish species on my wish list.

Cutting to the chase, I am extremely satisfied with ReefPro. Top on the list are communication, quality of packaging and quality/selection. Buy from them!

I ordered a Supermale Lineatus wrasse on Tuesday night, got a confirmation email on Wednesday that it was being shipped for delivery received by me for Thursday via FedEx. I agree with a previous post that FedEx may not be the best carrier because on Thursday I saw on their website that the shipment was delayed in Memphis (I’ve learned to hate Memphis). The shipment was now scheduled for Friday.

I called ReefPro and talked with them at length regarding my anxiety surrounding the late shipment. They instructed me to take the delivery on Friday, and if the fish didn’t make it, they would work with me to get a replacement (“they want the buying experience to be a positive one”). As an aside, they provide their own insurance if there is a delay with shipping which causes a loss.

On Friday, I picked up the package, and upon opening it found my Lineatus wrasse alive, breathing normally and alert. I acclimated it using the detailed instructions enclosed and the wrasse is now in QT.

First, the description of the wrasse was spot on- it’s a beautiful super male. Second, it’s at least 5-6” long, exceeding my expectations. But most importantly,
it would not have survived the extended travel time if it were not conditioned and packaged extremely well. It’s very much a testament to the care ReefPro puts into the care of the animals.

Per their website:

During the 7-day conditioning process, each specimen is fed prepared foods infused with medications such as Metronitozole, Kanamycin, Praziquantel.

Once the fish have completed the conditioning process, they are now available to be shipped. Upon completion of conditioning, all fish are examined, ensure they eating readily available prepared foods, and are conditioned for aquarium life.

Each specimen is shipped in freshly mixed Red Sea® saltwater, matched to our systems water parameters to reduce any possible stress. Our fish are packed with an ammonia binder as well as 100% pure oxygen.

Needless to say, ReefPro gets 10/10 from me.
