Update time! We made it through the move Harold and the rest of the gang have been hanging out with all the rock in the basement and the coral and inverts are in a separate tank for the moment. I was kicking around the idea of upgrading while the tank was torn down, but unfortunately I lost all my fish in QT. That was hard because I had become very attached to them. With the loss of the purple tang I did not see a reason to upgrade at this time, especially because I am crazy and also setting up a 65 at the moment, so I ordered a new and scratch free 90. With black silicone this time. It arrived yesterday and we got it on the stand today.

(My face in the reflection;Hilarious, I have the worst RBF haha).
My husband said I am not allowed to set this one up until all of the boxes are out of the garage and we finish unpacking. I said that is fair because we spent a lot of time already on the other tank and all the fish and corals are fine where they are for the time being. I also brought home some harlequins last night, a male and female.

I have been waiting forever to get a pair of these guys, so I hope they enjoy decimating my huge asterina population. My husband just noticed them in the acclimation box and said “those are tiny”. He though they were the lionfish I am getting for the 65 hahaha. Honestly I can see how he made that mistake while looking at them from across the room.

Looks like a sweet tank I would paint the wood white give it a Modern look

I have definitely thought that as well. The only thing holding me back is that we will be getting new dining room furniture in the nearish future and I haven’t decided what I want yet. I hate when all the furniture in a room doesn’t match lol. Right now it doesn’t match the stand and it’s driving me nuts!

Almost forgot to update! My sons 5th birthday party is at our house this weekend, so I’ve been going crazy trying to get the house/yard ready. I finally hung all of the pictures and wall decor, so I guess we are officially moved in now lol. More importantly I had to do something about this empty tank sitting in the dining room. I spent the past 3 days filling it up, rockscaping, and finally adding all of the livestock today! It’s still a bit dusty from that sexy oolite, but I’m happy with how smoothly it all went.

I lost my lawnmower blenny. I kind of figured he had died because he was looking very skinny before the move and I hadn’t seen him in 3 weeks:( I also did not add the wrasse, he is still in the 20 gallon in the basement. He’s a massive jerk to other wrasses and will be going to work to keep the frag tanks pest free lol.

Looks like I have a fun night ahead of me lol. I had a feeling he was in there because I hadn’t seen him pecking around at the rocks.

Is he ok?

Whoops I forgot to update again lol. He is fine. I eventually had to flush him into the sump because I am just too short to see in there, even while standing on a chair, and he wasn’t being helpful and just swimming into my net lol. I hate flushing them because I’ve had fish get stuck before, but he plopped right into the filter sock and is cruising for pods in the DT once more.

I have to say that I really miss my Android when it comes to taking fish tank pics, I just cannot get corals to look even half as good as they look IRL with the iPhone. Unfortunately the iPhone pics still look better then what I can get with the DSLR haha.

I’ve been giving all my love to the lion tank thread recently and neglecting this one. I’ve added 5 or 6 more LPS frags to the 90 a few weeks ago and also have a few fish in QT at the moment. I haven’t taken coral pics yet but here are the QT residents. Excuse the dirty glass, most of this group is pretty skittish for some reason so I have been letting the algae cover the glass so as not to disrupt them.

Nothing crazy and definitely not rescues, just a couple on my wish list. My mandarin is getting a girlfriend finally assuming she makes it through QT. I added some cheato from my sump so she should have pods to eat. I am hoping the cardinals are a pair, they usually hang out together and no fighting in the weeks they’ve been together so that’s a good sign.

Happy 3 year birthday 90 gallon! Does it still count if the tank is new and has been through a move? Meh the rock, furniture, and at least 2 of the fish are original so why not lol. Anyway here is a birthday FTS.
