How do you like the Fluval SP6? I am considering using one on my upcoming 200g build, but thought it might be too much flow. So you have it as your return pump, and on a manifold for 2 reactors? Anything else it is plumbed into? What kind of overflow do you have? What do you think your turnover rate is?

I'm happy with the sp6 very very quiet pump, when it was running just the biopellets off the manifold and the two return flow was good. However now that I have added gfo and carbon as well I do notice the flow is somewhat lacking out the returns. I still get a decent turnover but there isn't the same surface agitation as before, but my powerheads make up for a lot of that. As a result I'm considering adding my spare mag drive pump as well to just get a little bit more flow out the returns. I have the flow accelerators on my return outlets but they need a little more flow going through them to work properly.

All in all the sp6 is a solid pump as I notice no fluctuations in flow through the manifold. My manifold is 1.5" diameter just for reference so but it does suffer from the head pressure of dual returns. So it may be better off doing one job either as a just a return pump or solely to run the manifold.

Decided to update the thread today, it's been longer overdue for an update. All in all everything has finally been going great. Had a few losses here and there but for the most part just been seeing slow and steady growth. Here are some updated tank shots! Lemme know what u guys think!
