I’m thinking of making my own refugium in a 25 gallon lagoon aio tank using a media basket. My question is does anyone know of a good inexpensive light that would work for this and not take up a ton of space? I’ve seen some fully submersible lights on Amazon but not sure how that would do in saltwater

Take a look at the Aqua Gadget Chaetomax refugium light. You use velcro to secure it to the back of the tank, where it lights up the 'fuse section of that tank. You do need to remove a bit of the black vinyl on the back of the tank for the light, but the vinyl is cheap and easy to replace later if you want to.

You’re always so fast to answer! Thanks for all you do here on R2R!

I saw that one earlier but I’m looking for something a little less expensive (if that’s even feasible)

I’m also going to be doing a GSP backwall on the tank so I don’t want anything in the tank itself, just the back section or hanging on the back section of the tank

Thank you, I appreciate that!

The Chaetomax was my best idea, but I'm sure others will have some suggestions for something that clips on the glass.

Good luck!

Bump for the OP! How can they light their 'fuge?

I think I am going to try this on my new IM Nuvo Series 2 40L. Anything I should know about removing the vinyl on the back? Just take a razorblade to it? I only want to cut out the part for the light...
