Is it effective to run a refugium in a 40 gallon aio? If you have one, what’s your light schedule? Have you noticed benefits. Considering it but, also considering a UV Sterilizer instead (have controlled Dino’s)

FWIW:
UV only works on certain strains of dinos.

Bumping for fuge advice!

I had a small CPR aquafuge on my IM Nuvo 40. Ran the light schedule for it opposite of my LED's. It did add some extra flow to the tank from the discharge and it did grow chaeto nicely. My only concern I had was the extra weight of it on the side of the tank. Eventually took it off since it blocked a whole viewing side of the tank, just my preference. Just keeping up with the water-changes and watch how i feed to avoid any rise in nitrates the chaeto would have absorbed. Hope this helps.
