Refugium light

Wattage is not the same, LEDs are more powerful but for me I prefer fluorescent.

Not sure if you have a Home Depot near you considering you are from Dubai. In any case look for a spiral bulb that is rated 9w but is equivalent to 100w. The kelvin rating should be around 5000K, that's what worked best in my tank for the refugium.

If i remain this light ON for 24 hours then diatoms appear on same area of refugium. Should i keep this light ON for 12 hours?

Yea, your ok with it growing in the Fuge, no worries. you'll grow some narly stuff if you leave the light on 24-7
