Was wondering what might be the best macro to put in my 10 gallon refugium. I started with a bunch of chaeto, and started adding some other caulerpa from some other tanks I had going. This specific refugium is really just used to keep copepod numbers high for a red ruby dragonette and some seahorses way down the line, and was always told chaeto was best for that. Once I started adding the other macro, the chaeto pretty much started vanishing. Should I take the others out and just go back to the chaeto? Any thoughts? I just pulled a bunch of caulerpa out of the dt and didn't want to toss it just in case I should switch over in the refugium.

Pom Pom is my favorite. Gracillari is good also. Several herbivores love to eat it. Personally I hate chaeto. It breaks apart and sends strings everywhere.

Make sure you have nitrates and phosphates present. The macros gobble them up! I have to dose each. Plus I add iron and chaetogro. The macros love flow also. I have two powerheads blasting them. Seems to help keep nuisance algae from growing on them also.

I have a 20L remote fuge. All my macros sprouted from TBS live rock in the tank.
