refugium

Hello All Reefers Good Morning! I’m on a mission I was thinking of removing my skimmer in my evo 13.5 mixed reef tank and creating a refugium in chamber 2 of my tank. Think it a good idea to add this or not?
If so I looked up and looks like all I need is to make a tray and adding a grow light? Any suggestions will be great or any advice on completing this. Thank you all for your time and advice in advance!

The main purpose of the refugium is the lower nitrates. Is this what you are trying to accomplish, or what is your main goal to add a refugium?
