Regrow tissue on euphyllia branches?

This is a general question and not specific to anything currently wrong in my tank.
I saw someone post on another forum and I have had this happen in the past, so it made me wonder if anyone has had success.

If a branching euphyllia (torch, hammer, frogspawn) is showing tissue recession on the skeleton (so not all the way to the polyp yet), has anyone had success with reversing this?

I understand that water params, etc will play a role in identifying the cause, but I can't find any examples of it growing back... Wondering if any coral this happens to is doomed...?

Yes and no. I was able to arrest it once with a dip, but it later succumbed.

I just used Polyp Lab Reef Primer.

Interesting. The only ingredient listed is "potassium salts"

I can't say I have seen it reverse course and regrow over the skeleton. I think it's more likely that the head will continue to grow upward and the flesh on the outside will get stretched out in the process.

I have had recent imported euphyllia lose flesh all the way beyond the rim of the polyp before they were settled in and healthy. They can recover if everything is good and they don't get infected with the dreaded BJD. When they get to a really poor state like this it can take a REALLY LONG time before they are nice big heads with tissue down the outside of the skeleton again.

I honestly can't remember ever buying one that had more than 1/2 an inch of flesh down the branch... I didn't know that this was abnormal until about 6 months ago.
