title says it, he jumped out today during a water change and then was viciously murdered by my dog before i could pick him back up. happened all in less than 5 seconds. he was my favorite but i’m up to other suggestions as a replacement. I still want something with a lot of personality.

current inhabitants:
2 clowns
goby/pistol
1 fairy wrasse
1 tail spot blenny

mix of LPS & a couple softies

Thanks in advance!

RIP Carlos

i've only had two blennys, but never a Midas.
I had a starry blenny in my first tank. And now I have a Molly miller blenny in my current tank. I was looking for a starry blenny but couldn't find one, so I got the Molly miller.

Even though the Molly miller has blenny personality, my vote goes to a Starry blenny. I will definitely have another one in time. The starry was my favorite fish in my 1st tank.

yeah i’ve seen the starrys a few times at my LFS. really cool looking, was yours active? one of the best parts about my midas was he was always swimming around and exploring

Get another. Or a clown goby. They are characters.

starry is not the prettiest blenny of the bunch, but still cool looking. He would bounce around the rocks all the time. Hang upside down while looking at me. He was funny. The two Blennies I've had, but were hand (tweezer) fed. I'd give them personal pieces of raw shrimp, they come up and grab it and go back to their rock bouncing.

If you really liked the Midas, get another
