I am on year 4 of my Biocube 32 and it’s a well established tank. Have had my shares of ups and downs but overall have learned a great deal and have really enjoyed the experience. My current dilemma is I have what was bought as a “jungle green birds nest” - really looks more like a stylo with its growth pattern. The thing has exploded in growth and is now growing in every corner of my rock structure (Not sure I’d be able to remove it even if I tried). All that to say, would it be a massive disruption to the tank balance to replace the old rock structure with a new one and keeping only those corals I want to transfer over? The rock rubble in my filtration area, a good portion of the water and the sand bed would remain intact.
Seems like the best way to “reset” but don’t want to cause a major outbreak of uglies again. Interested in others experiences. TIA!
