Replacing Tank Divider

I want to replace and modify the 6mm glass tank divider in my TMC micro habitat 60.

The existing panel is blacked out so that you can’t see the skimmer and return pump.

Please can people suggest reef safe coatings for glass inside the aquarium?

How about a thin sheet of black acrylic attached to the glass with a couple spots of super glue?
