150 litr tank ,cluttered with rock and corals of some form on all mostly softies ,rather than frag stuff off rocks to move them , will it be easier to recsape ,I have a 2 inch or so sand bed with areas that have never been syphoned in five years ..am I going to open up a world of harm disturbing stuff with crapola and maybe gasses,plenty of fish in there as well fyi

If your sand bed has not been disturbed for multiple years, and you are planning to rescape, consider mixing/agitating it one small area at a time, to gradually release the nutrient buildup and anything that may have built up in the sand over time. Doing so would lessen the shock to your system and reduce the risk of a large nutrient spike. Depending on how heavily soiled it is, you may want to break up the sand bed into 10 or more sections and hit one or two a week. The most important thing though is to start slow and observe your tank. Test your nutrient levels before and during the process to know your baseline and how far you are from this baseline.
When I recently moved my tank I disturbed a sand bed that was only 1.5 years old and released a lot of nutrients into the water, which I retained even though I tossed the sand. Good luck I hope it goes well
