Resealing possible on this?

I know this will be needing a reseal. Is this beyond repair? I received an email from my LFS in response to my request if they did resealing. This was the response

“Yes we can. If the tank is empty would you be able to take a few photos of the inside existing seal and send to this email. Typically, we don't remove the silicone between the glass but remove all the silicone from the inside and up to the inside corner of the sides and the bottom. We guarantee the tank doesn't leak upon completion but there is no long term guarantee”

I sent these images and no response. It’s only been a day but his reply was pretty quick asking for the photos. So not sure if he looked and was like we can’t fix this.

What do you think?

I would be nervous about resealing that without cutting apart the tank and removing all the old silicone. (Probably cheaper to replace the tank.) With silicone that has had a color change like that I would worry about the silicone in the joints failing even if the LFS reseals the interior surfaces of the joints.

is this black strip what’s holding the glass together and it’s missing the interior silicone? or is this what the LFS would take off and replace?

Yes, the LFS clearly said they would not cut apart the tank to replace silicone in the joint. Since it's there's aleady areas the silicone that has let go of the glass I would be really worried even if the interior silicone is replaced there can be a failure in the future with the old silicone left between the joints. If this was my tank for my peace of mind I would just buy a new tank.

If you cut apart the tank and fully remove all old silicone it’s definitely resealable.
It’s not actually that hard or expensive. Just takes a little bit of time and some effort.
Watch a few videos, make sure you get aquarium safe silicone (anything that is just 100% silicone) and take your time!

It's very possible, but I would recommend completely taking the tank apart and redoing all the seams and seals. I am currently doing this right now with a Red sea 525xl and its not that bad. The hardest part is just getting all the old silicone removed.

Piece equipment together over time but this is the only chance at having a 150+ bow front. But I understand what you are saying. The drive to attempt it myself is strong with the addiction to the hobby. Thank you for your honesty though!

I'd say go for it and attempt the reseal yourself. As long as you don't break any glass you can re-fix the seal as many times as it takes until it's good.
All you risk is the cost of silicone and your time and effort.
If you break the glass, you really haven't lost anything of value, because the tank is not usable anyway in it's current state.

What is coming loose looks like a previous repair and inferior product. I would redo the entire tank.
