After a long few months and I'm getting back on my feet, figured I'd do a build thread. I'm getting my 45 JBJ back up. Sold everything but the tank. Tank is like new.

The stand has some water damage so I'm going to rebuild the stand. I'm still figuring out how I want to build it.

Bought new impellers for the stock pumps. If anyone knows what size pump will fit in the back so I can just use one and T the return off let me know

Picked up a few used parts on forums. Got a great deal for a Tunze 9004 and Tunze nano osmolater.

I have about 30 lbs of rock and picking up 50 more tomorrow for a great deal

The plan for lighting is a Radion.

Plans for coral are acros, acans, zoas and euphillas. The good stuff lol.

So here's a few photos

After doing some research Ive seen a video for various upgrades on the tank.

Although I replaced the impellors on the return pumps, I found a replacement pump so to have only one. Looks like Im going to use this pump. The Tunze 1073. Its controllable and pretty small

Also going to use some Spinstream nozzles

What mesh screen are you using on the top? I have the same aquarium but it came with glass but the glass always gets messy and is a hassle. Thanks !

Have you had time to start on the stand yet? What are your plans for it?

After handling some things and working all summer I finally had sometime to get to working on the stand. Still undecided how I'll finish it but in looking to do a white border and a light stain in the panels. I'm happy how its turning out so far.

  • Looks awsome love the stand, I have the same tank. I love the spinstream tips for the pump returns. What light are you going to use?
