I’m going to start working on a budget to just overhaul my 32g bio cube. The purpose of this venture is going to just be growth from small frag over the next year and a half. We will be building a house and going to be installing a large custom tank during construction. Eventually everything will be moved to this and then getting a proper grow out tank when we’re moved in.

All that’s in there is rock and a few small clowns. Has bigger plans that just never came to fruition.

So I’d like to deck it out.

Currently just the stock filtration set up, sicce 1.0 pump and a hydra 32hd. It also has an MP10qd

Looking at getting a full apex setup minus any fuge setup. That will be in the AIO chamber.

Probably going with a BRS doser. Not a fan of the apex system.

What else would you want in there?

I am figuring a 5k budget. Probably a lil overkill but all of the equipment will be used on my current big tank after the move.

Love me a solid Biocube setup, following along.
Depending on your thoughts on UV, could always get one of the coralife UVs to go in the return chamber.

Yea, most likely going with tunze. I typically use the cheap ones on Amazon because they rarely let me down but this setup won’t be about budget, but going to make this top notch to get ready for the big setup
That is the ATO I use, and I absolutely love mine!

I haven’t researched any of them yet. I’m currently looking for one for my main tank.

Are the Coralife ones any good

I have a Coralife Turbo Twist 12Xs. I bought the biggest (rated for 300g) for my 75g display and it is pretty good. I have always heard with UVs to go big or go home but I should have done the medium size one because the big one heats the water. Its not a huge issue because I just unplugged my heater and use the UV for sterilizing and heating but that is not as controllable so I have to watch the temperature. My plans were to only use the UV when adding new fish or if I had a Dino outbreak because they can kill beneficial biolife as well as bad stuff.

My main is 144. So I’ve been looking for a bigger one. Ideally getting one that can handle 600g as my custom build is going to be around 400 gallons.

For the cube, I may just get the 3xs
