I recently took down my 90 gallon tank and that has become over run with majano anemones and put my fish and a few pieces of rock in a 29 gallon tank and I just finished bleaching all the infested rocks and they are in a brute container filled with saltwater. My question is could I put in new sand and just a few pieces of my live rock in the 29 gallon tank into 90 and start the cycle then add the rest later or should I wait and finish cycling rock in brute and do it all at once? Thanks for any help

Since you went through the trouble of bleaching cleaning the rocks, I would not mix them back with sand and rock from the old tank, you will re-infect everything. Unless I misunderstood? IMO I would want to try to keep the rocks pest free for as long as possible

Thanks the rocks I saved were pest free and have been in the small tank for 3 weeks and no signs of any majanos but you may be right probably safer to just get more dry rock instead

Is there a chance, you could either get some from a club, friend, LFS or Tampa Bay? that would be even better

Thanks for the help im gonna go to my LFS and just get some way safer indeed
