Return line aiirblast after feeding

Is there any way to prevent the air from the return line from blasting back into the tank after the feeding cycle? Also wondering if this stresses the fish out, though short lived. Or, if it might actually benefit for the tank, as in adding a small blast of oxygen into the tank?

Fish are used to waves doing the same thing. It really shouldn't do anything harmful.
