Hello all, I have had a return of diatoms in my 55 gallon reef tank. Phosphates and nitrates test 0.03 and 0.25 respectively on my Red Sea test kit. Tank has been running a year and a few months with a 10 gallon sump that is only running chaeto at the moment. Recently ran some gfo however that has ended. Thanks.

Dinos are photosynthetic so they come out in light. You can try and turn your lights off for a few days and black the tank out. If you have corals they should be fine for a couple days with no light.

You can also try dyno-x. BRS has a good video on how to deal with dinos.
