EcoTech Marine

Vectra S2 - Mobius Ready DC Return Pump (1400 GPH

My Question is has anyone had any experience with this pump or recommend something better. Q. Would the pump be a over kill for my tank.

I ran this pump on a RedSea 525 and it worked great. You shouldn't have any problems with it. It wouldn't be overkill since it is a DC pump you can dial it back to almost no flow.

I set up a reefer 300 using a jebao dcp-5000
. It pushes plenty of water and is silent. I don't see how you can go wrong for less than $90 unless your just committed to the high end names. It doesn't run on an app but I have no need for an app to control a return pump. I've been running a dcp-3500 on my reefer 170 since September and it has been flawless and silent as well. When l say silent I mean it can not be heard over the sound of the overflow on either tank.
