So, need some insight. I have two Sicce SDC 7 that I’m going to use as return pumps. The sump (Trigger Systems Titanium 34) and tank both have dual returns.

My challenge is that the 1” vinyl hose that I’m using to connect the pump to the outlet of the sump is quite rigid and even when heated won’t bend enough to connect the pump to the return without the hose collapsing. I’m considering using hard plumbing from the sump to the last few inches to the pump then use a straight piece of vinyl hose….

Any thoughts toward a different solution?? I may have better luck with 3/4” hose, but will that impact the return flow considerably? Two of those pumps at full power should be more than plenty for the tank…

Usually the rule of thumb is a short piece of soft plumbing from the pump connected to pvc for the remainder of the return line. The main advantage being noise reduction.
