Return pump reccomendations

I'm in need of of a submersible 2000gph @ about 4' head. I haven't bought equipment in 6 years. What is out there you guys like and would recommend?

Go DC, definitely. The Jebao DCT-8000 or the EcoTech Vectra M1 would be good choices. I'm sure there are others, but these two come to mind.

I like the price point on the jebao cheap enough to replace.

I use 2 Jebao. A DC3000 for my manifold and a DCT4000 for my return. I've had no issues and their dead silent for me. Like you mentioned, you can buy a backup and still come out ok. JMO.

I really love the water blaster pumps. Mine is 4 years old and runs like I new. I have never even cleaned it. And they come with a 3 year warranty. If I was going to go dc I would use a echo tech. I use jeabeo power heads but I just can't run the risk of using it for my return pump. JMO

Jebao are cheap but their warranty is just a joke, i bought a jebao dc3000 for my frag tank as main return, six months later pump stopped, I opened and was not broke and not a lot of build ups or any, tried everything to turned back on but nothing, called the seller (big jebao agent) he said in order to claim the warranty the pump needs to be send back to China and the shipping returning it then sending it back again to me was almost the same $$$ what i paid for that piece of junk. Never ever cheap Chinese knock offs. Buy good and buy once. Buy cheap and buy multiple times. Bought an Ecotech M1, hands down the best pump ever i had, like everything from them just the best, the customer service just amazing. Thats my 0.02, good luck

If you want a solid non-dc return pump I really like sicce... Quiet and great head pressure if you have to pump water any sort of distance.

I just bought 2 Deep water 4000gph pumps.They have not arrived yet,and my tank is still in the build process so no real feedback. Check my build thread in large tank forum.
