So I currently have a 96 litre/ 25 gal ocean free AIO running its original return pump that says it does 1300 litres per hour or 343 gallons per hour. It’s some $20 cheapo. I was thinking about swapping it out for a EHEIM compact 300 but I’m not sure it will work. I have added a Wavemaker. But looking for a better quality return to fit in the back of an aio can be tricky the EHEIM is controllable from 170 l/hr - 300 l/ph or 44 g/ph- 79 g/ph
I did the math aka times water x 5 for the lowest flow needed and again x 10 for the highest. I didn’t subtract the rock or sand I have in there. Does anyone know why the original would be so much higher than needed? Am I right I’m thinking I need between 150-300 l/ph or 44-79 g/ph.
Stock Aqua Zonic Evo 1300l/h 25W or upgrade to
EHEIM compact on 300 details in photo for reference.
