Revamp Club

Apparently there is a Facebook group that club activity moved to at some point. Not sure if it is active or which one it would be.

Apparently there is a Facebook group that club activity moved to at some point. Not sure if it is active or which one it would be.

I am not big on FB but looked and found some things but it seemed like it wasn’t active. I can’t recall the name but if I get a chance I will look and see.

I found it from Aquatic Marine’s posts by their hashtags.

It does seem like there's multiple people interested, but no real movement. So how about this proposal- March 22nd for the first meeting of the re-vamped club? I'll make a separate post about it later this week if there's no major objections to the date.

Location TBD- I'd be happy to host it if we don't find a more suitable location in the meantime.

That should be enough time for people to see some posts about it (I'll do some digging to see what we'd need to do to get it posted on the FB group) & is far enough out most people won't have firm plans yet.

Lots of things to cover, come prepared with ideas about what you'd like to see in a local reef club. When I joined nearly a decade ago (WOW :eek:), I loved how eager people were to share their knowledge & advice. I don't think I would still be in the hobby if it weren't for the people I met through the reef club & I hate that experience is missing for new reefers in the area.

Sounds good to me. Nothing conflicting at this point anyway. Think I joined at club inception 20 or so years ago. Dropped out several years back before there became a 2nd club in the area.

No idea on a site for the meeting apart from a home, but those are the best because we get to see member tanks. Thanks for offering.

I don’t think there is much of a chance fora revival of this club. Many have moved on while their still area few around. Who knows the future is still un written.
