Just put a ball valve on both sides and u can adjust as needed to get the correct flow

Also with a pump that small you can get a eshopp pf-300 overflow for cheap a d the drain tube I think I got the whole setup off Amazon for under 100$ for my 40 breeder also pretty pitty I have two
