Same here, very green. I can get some "yellow" tone under actintic light with blues off. Once the blues come on it goes green. Polyps however purple with green dots at the end. How’s your bc lemon hammer coming along. Mines still pretty green
Wow! Looks awesome! Any big changes or all still the same? Would love an update on what all your currently using/ dosing!Haven't updated in a long time.. Tank is now 5 years old. Most recent picture.
Sure, so some changes but nothing to major. I ditched reefbrites and went with 2 or3's. I run 3 Coral plus, and 5 blue plus now. I removed gfo as changing the numbers was landing me on trouble. If I test po4 it will read an average of .2ppm, but hardly any algea and colors are better on the sps, and the Lps took off and love it. I have jawbreakers that are 4+ inches. The system is on auto w/c at 2 gallons a day. 3 part dosing, 120ml alk per day, 135ml of cal per day, 20ml of mag and that is all. Very simple. It's been running very well.Wow! Looks awesome! Yes, 120$ in magnets. Probably more now since this was before inflation. The skin is from target, they have faux wood panels. It's a laminate plastic. I placed a sample in water for 48 before building with no damage to the product. So its safe around water. I just stuck them onto plastic cardboard from home Depot and cut to size. I used 3m double side to hold magenta to the plastic cardboard. Lastly I used some duck tape over the magnets so they were quieter when latching onto the metal stand.Great build thread. The tank looks amazing. Could you post about how you skinned the stand? I am assuming magnets? What material did you use for the skin?
When you have a chance could you take a few pictures of the panels/ magnets? I’m about to wrap mine and would love to mimic yours as it came out great. How do you keep the corners tight?Yes, 120$ in magnets. Probably more now since this was before inflation. The skin is from target, they have faux wood panels. It's a laminate plastic. I just kept adding magnets until it stayed in place and didn't slide down. Do the sides first, the the front extends over each side to give a cleaner look. With the magnets, front panel weights maybe 5-6lbs would be my best guess. Send pictures when yours is done! When you have a chance could you take a few pictures of the panels/ magnets?
