Rio Nano Skimmer

I am needing a skimmer for my 16 gallon bowfront. I do not have the money for a expensive one. I found this hang on rio nano skimmer for under $40. Has anyone used one or seen one work? They remind me of a skimmer they came out with years ago that would not pull anything. If it pulled some material it would be worth the $40.

I have one works good actually can be tricky to tune though
