Thanks to Marvin I gotta have a Clownfish/BTA tank. :)

Made a stop at Petco for the $1/Gallon sale. I picked up a 40 breeder and a 20 long to use as a sump. I also bought a 20 tall that I may end up using instead but I think it will end up being my QT since I gave my 20 tall to my Grandpa. I have most of the equipment for this already but I'm in no rush and would like to do it right. I'm ordering a glass-holes.com kit and will be drilling it myself. I already have a couple of BTAs in my prop tank also. I'll likely end up breaking down the prop tank when this build is done so I don't have so many tanks to maintain. I plan on getting a nice pair of clownfish to be the main attraction and will probably add a few nice damsels to add some color variety to the tank. I'm a big fan of yellow tail/azure damsels so I'd like to have a few in this tank also.

EDIT: Current full tank shot December 2013

Equipment so far

40 gallon breeder
20 gallon long sump/fuge
glass-holes 1500 gph overflow kit. I know this is overkill but I'm thinking it will be the majority of the flow in the tank and will keep wandering nems out of powerhead.
120w Evolution leds
Sealife Skimmer I modified and am using on my frag tank. I will likely replace this later down the road depending on how well it works.

Livestock
Sherman Rose BTA
Green/yellow/red BTA

That's all I got for now but I'm going to start building soon hopefully.

Any suggestions, comments, ideas, flames are welcomed. :xd:

Changed my mind a bit. I ordered the 700 gph glass-holes kit. I'm thinking that and an mp10 will be perfect for a nem tank. Plus I found a return pump I already have better suited or the 700 gph. Saved some money so...

I decided to change the lighting. I ordered the maxspect razor. I like the thin clean look of it plus it has legs so I don't have to suspend light from the ceiling.

I also ordered 25 pounds of BRS pukani rock and I'll start that curing in a Rubbermaid as soon as it arrives.

Looking good Gabe!

Thanks Chris.

The 20 long doesn't fit! Maybe 1/2 inch too narrow.

Doesn't matter, I have a 20 high that fits perfectly!

I'm getting fired up about this and the more I'm thinking about it...

...may not be BTAs going in this tank. ;)

Hey seriously... Actually cutting torch is not a bad idea. If you used some kind of exotic wood wood to skin the stand and torched it in areas. Might look cool

Thank you. :)

I might break out the cutting torch and give it the wood burned look. Lol

I'm an old school wood shop/welding class hand. I still have an old torch burned wood cassette holder I made in high school. Lol

I actually like how that looks. I'm going to do one of my hunting rifles like that one day.

If anything in my living room would match I'd do it like that.
