I will be upgrading to the RKE and have a programming question. I know I will need to program the new head unit, but do individual modules need to be reprogrammed as well or will they retain when hooked to the new head unit? I will be using ALC and 2 PC4s from the RKL on the RKE.

thanks

It would be best to perform a factory reset on the modules. do an interrupted update on all modules.

The programming other than module name, port names and default state are all in the head unit anyways. FYI the iTemp probe will not work with the RKE. It requires a probe that connect to the temp port of a SL module. Since it is from RKL to RKE you may be OK without an interrupted update.

That is normally enough going from RKL to RKE. The Archon interacts with the modules differently than the RKE or RKL and may require that the modules are put back to factory settings. To do that you can do an interrupted update and then a full update. This erases the module including it ID number. It is like putting a new mosule on the system. Instruction are on DA's forum but I don't think you will need to do it in this case.
