Hi all,

What are some good RO/DI and ATO'S that you can recommend to me? I am on a slight budget so I can't be getting the top of the line stuff. Just something that will do the job for my incoming 30gal tank.

What are the different stages meanings? Like 3,4,6 stage RO/DI?

I have been linked to an example for an RO/DI and ATO system a couple days ago, but want to see other options in this price range or preferably lower.

What I was recommended:
The RO/DI: http://spectrapure.com/RO-RODI/RODI-SYSTEMS/Aquarium-RO-DI-Starter Kit-Includes-RODI-System-Replacement-Filter Kit-TDS Meters-Chlorine-Test-Kit

The ATO: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/tunze...NR-mRZFIgwVTWXOF-HCvAfMkTAI1ngflFRRoCXuHw_wcB

Thank you.
Alex :)

I have the same ATO and it has been on my 40b for 2 years with no problems. The RO/DI would work just fine too.

I think they are both great choices. If you're really looking to pinch pennies, you could go with THIS Spectrapure system for 112.49.....but the one you reference is a great deal with the extra filters and TDS meter....something you'd have to buy anyway.

Similarly, with the ATO, the Tunze is great, but to save a few bucks, THIS AquaHub kit is a nice alternative for $40. What I like about this ATO is that it has the back-up float switch for when the primary craps out....and it will. Note that you'd still need a pump (suggest Tom's Aqualifter for around $16), and do a little electric work installing a dedicated outlet (so another $5-$8 for miscellaneous stuff).
